Charity drive to assist those in Haiti affected by Hurricane Ike

The Barry university community is invited to provide assistance for those who are suffering in Haiti as a result of Hurricane Ike.

The Alumni House will be the collection site for the following items:

CLOTHING: for both children and adults, male and female. Make sure clothing is clean and ready to wear.
LINENS: towels and sheets
FOOD: crackers, cookies, powder, boxed milk. NO CANNED GOODS.
TOILETRIES: toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, deoderant

The collection is limited to those items. We will not be collecting canned foods as they are too heavy to ship.
Checks for monetary donations may be made to St. James Catholic Church/Haiti Food Drive and may be dropped off at the Alumni House or the Chapel office.

We will be delivering the supplies and checks that we collect to St. James Catholic Parish who will ship the supplies through the Catholic Charities Mission Office.

The collection at Barry will only be taking place until next Friday, Sept. 19

These are desperate times for the people of Haiti. The Barry community has always been very generous in times of need. The Office of Mission and Ministry and Alumni Association thank you again for sharing your good fortune in this time of need.
