We Remember Elizabeth (Betty) Hays

A Memorial Service for Dr. Elizabeth Hays, associate professor of biology took place on Thursday, March 12 at Cor Jesu Chapel.

Dr. Hays was an esteemed member of the faculty serving the University for more than 24 years.

She taught biology, physiology, and biomedical science courses. Most recently she devoted herself to advising pre-professional students. Hays was a vigorous advocate for her students and an active member of the university community, serving with distinction on many committees including the Faculty Senate (Chair), the Women’s Studies Committee, the University Honors Council, Graduate Council and the Mission Effectiveness Committee to name a few. Dr. Hays passed away Feb. 20, 2009.
