Someone once said that there is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. Thus my seminar course objective is to actually do the work instead of procrastinating because when you do you understand. I want to increase my knowledge and comprehension of scientific articles. I also intend to analyze and apply what I learn and make it beneficial to my life. Anticipatory set is the motivation and introduction of your lesson. It is the most likely way a teacher will achieve the attention of his/her students for the lesson. I feel as though the cognitive domain is a demonstration of knowledge and intellectual skills. It is composed of recalling and comprehending information, organizing ideas, and analyzing and synthesizing data. Basically the Pharisees wanted to know what Jesus was planning on doing and how he was going to achieve what he intended to do. If I were Jesus I would have answered the Pharisees by stating that my anticipatory set and my objectives in the cognitive domain would be: 1. To motivate my students and get their attention by performing miracles that no one else can do or have done. 2. To help the students to be able to comprehend my lessons through interesting stories (ie parables) and life's lessons 3 To help them to recall and analyze information to use to their betterment (eg. know who Elijah was and what was significant about him). 4 And also to help them synthesize data (ie. to be able to take information and understand what it means; do deductive reasoning)
