Fortunately the story about Jesus and the Pharisees was not completely true. Just as Jesus was hurt at the end of the sermon, I’m sure many professors get bothered by this as well. You asked for us to define “anticipatory set” and “cognitive domain”. On the website scienceeducation.com, I was able to infer that an “anticipatory set” is a brief activity that teachers must include in there lesson plans. It should effectively engage all students’ attention and focus their thoughts on the learning objective. By reading Bloom et al.’s Taxonomy of the Cognitive Domain I learned that a cognitive domain is a listing of less to more complex ideas that a teacher wants the students to comprehend. It includes knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. As for my student contract, there are many things which I would like to change about myself in order to do well in this class. I want to be more responsible, and complete all my enrichment activities on time, I want to learn how to write a scientific paper and also how to read one. I will also always try my hardest and never give up. I will always try to make Dr.Lin very proud of me.
